Book Club Meeting Moved

To all students who would like to participate in the book club for second trimester--we have moved the meeting to Thursday, March 1st during tutorial. If you haven't read our selection for 2nd trimester,The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin, there's still time to pick it up in the library! This is a fun, funny mystery, and we're sure you will enjoy it! You can even earn extra credit for language arts classes!

Congratulations to our own Anna Berger on being chosen as a Teacher of Promise for Irvine Unified School District! This is a rare honor that only a few teachers out of the entire district receive. We couldn't be prouder!

Irvine Junior Games - Update

The online deadline to sign up for Irvine Junior Games has been extended to March 7th! Go to www.irvinejuniorgames.com to sign up for the 25th annual Irvine Junior Games track and field event to be held Sunday May 20 at Irvine Stadium. If you are unable to register on-line you may download a registration form and give to the PE teachers by April 23.

In order to ensure a seat at South Lake or receive the high school enrollment documents for next year, all families must fill out and submit the residency verification forms. Mile Challenge Success!

We had a great day at the Mile Challenge fundraiser on Friday, February 3rd! Students and staff alike headed out to try and get their personal best on the mile run. Meanwhile, our generous community donated thousands of dollars to our PTSA that will go to funding lunchtime sports, technology, classroom supplies, and more! Way to go, South Lake!
