Washington, D.C. Trip

There will be an informational meeting to discuss this year's WorldStrides program to Washington, D.C. Students who participate in this program will explore our nation's historical sites under adult supervision. Note that the trip is not sponsored by South Lake nor is it a requirement for students to attend. Please click here to view a flyer with more information. You can contact Julie Giron, Program Leader, at (949) 936-6700 for more information. There will be a trip information meeting on January 25, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at South Lake.

Registration for this year’s Irvine Junior Games is open for all students. Irvine Junior Games is a track and field event for all 4th – 8th grade students in Irvine Unified. The event is on May 7th, however the deadline to register is on February 16th. This is the last opportunity for 8th graders to participate in this event. For more information on Irvine Junior Games and how to register, please visit www.irvinejuniorgames.com. Space is limited due to stadium capacity so students should sign-up early to ensure they get the event they would like to participate in.

Tutorial Reminder

Tutorial at South Lake is a terrific opportunity for students to review an important concept in class, make up an assessment, finish a big assignment, or receive extra enrichment in a subject. Students are responsible to plan early in the week which classes they will be attending for tutorial based on their needs. Click here to view the Tutorial Priority Calendar for 2016-17. Take advantage of this time!
